FOR COACHES · DENVER & ONLINE

Mentor coaching.
A closer look at how you coach.

You can know the competencies and still wonder what they sound like in a real conversation. Together, we look at your coaching—not just what you intended, but what your client experienced—and choose something concrete to practice.

Work with Constantine Dhonau, PCC, on listening, inquiry, presence, and the moments when your own assumptions get in the way. Feedback is direct, collaborative, and grounded in examples.

Who this is for

Coaches who want to strengthen their practice, understand their patterns, or explore mentor coaching in connection with an ACC or PCC credential pathway. We confirm your goals, application route, and current ICF requirements before agreeing on a credential-related engagement.

What we work on
  • Listening for what matters without rushing to solve.
  • Building clear agreements and useful questions.
  • Recognizing advice, interpretation, and assumptions when they enter your coaching.
  • Creating space for the client’s awareness and choices.
  • Turning feedback into a focused practice for your next session.
What a session looks like

Bring a question from your practice or, where appropriate, a recording you have permission to share. We review specific moments, explore your choices, and identify what to try next. Any recording review requires client consent and an agreed secure sharing process.

This is coaching-skills development. It is distinct from business consulting, personal coaching, and clinical supervision.

Structure & credential requirements

ICF currently describes a 10-hour mentor-coaching requirement spread over at least three months for applicable credential pathways. Requirements depend on your route and can change; qualification and acceptance of hours must be confirmed before enrollment.

A possible sequence is an initial review of your goals, focused feedback sessions with practice between them, and a closing review of what has developed. We agree the actual schedule together. No credential outcome is guaranteed.
